Sup!

As anyone can see from the gap, I haven’t been on this site since 2020. And, in fact, I’ve been MIA from the comics community in general. Like for everyone, the pandemic ended up hitting me really hard. I lost my job, and that made it so I had no time for my own creative endeavors. And a lack of friends and support also meant a lack of motivation. On top of all that, comics had already been burning me out before the pandemic even started. Creating art and stories for money was just a no go for me. It was draining me of all my passion.

But, I have found that I desperately miss creating stories and hanging with my friends in the community. Going to conventions, meeting patrons and other creators, getting to share my work, that’s the good stuff right there bb. I had been focused so much on making a career out of the whole thing that I ended up loosing sight of what made me happy and what parts of it I actually wanted to do.

With all that being said, I’m thinking about coming back as what I’ve been calling an ‘Extreme Hobbyest’. Meaning I plan to start making comics again and traveling around to conventions, but my focus will no longer be on the money but on simply what makes me happy instead. Life is far too short to do things that do not spark joy. So, therefore, I’m not gonna.

So! I’m planning on getting back into the community, but not holding myself to the strict guidelines, expectations, and the need to ‘market myself’ that I felt before. I’m just gonna be me : )

Anyway, PEACE!

Hello hello hello!!

I have now officially moved my site over! It’s taken a lot of work, and unfortunately a few things were lost in the move, as is what usually happens in the physical world, too… Thankfully not too much, but my news updates over this year were one of the things that was lost.

A quick recap of 2020 so far:

Back in February, I attended both Capricon and C2E2, meeting many wonderful creators and even getting the chance to booth for the first time at Capricon. After C2E2, I began working as the artist for Paul Axel’s comic “Illegal Alien”. You can visit the comic’s Patreon here. I entered Line Webtoon’s Short Story Contest with my comic “Cat’s Cradle”, which is still available on the platform to read. After that, a comic project titled “Pencil Pusher” that I’ve working on with the artist Thomas Prendergastt came to a close and will be available soon on this site. Finally, I have begun the art on a solo comic project titled “The Key”. With all the other projects that I’m currently juggling, “The Key” has no current planed release, but I will be sure to keep you all informed once I know when it will be available.

I look forward to posting again soon!
